TAP
Tap is a style of American theatrical dance, distinguished by percussive footwork and rhythms. Our tap classes stress the basics of tap while also teaching musicality and rhythm. Our studio uses the Al Gilbert Tap Technique Syllabus. *Adult Classes Available

BALLET
Ballet is the “backbone” of all dance training. In ballet, the student will learn grace, elegance, technique, discipline, flexibility, stamina, and endurance. Our teaching syllabus is based on the Vaganova Method and provides the basis for each of our levels to progress consistently from year to year.

JAZZ
Jazz is sharp and fluid movement to create a visually technical dance and style. It is usually done to popular music. Body isolations, stretch, turning, leaping and technical steps are taught in this class.

HIP HOP
Hip Hop is many different urban dance styles such as poppin’, locking, and breaking, as well as freestyle movement to give students the opportunity to develop their own sense of style. Our Hip Hop classes teach rhythm, coordination, musicality, and choreography without suggestive music or movements. *Adult Classes Available

ACRO
Acro is an art form that incorporates both the fluid movements of dance and the difficult tricks from acrobatics. Dancers not only learn how to execute each Acro move with strength, flexibility and technique but also learn to perform each trick seamlessly through choreographed routines. Students work on basic tumbling skills: Headstands, handstands, forward and backward rolls, straddle rolls (front & back), cartwheels, one-handed cartwheels, round offs, back walkovers, back handsprings, front walkovers, front handsprings, round off back handsprings, ariel’s, round off back tucks and more!

LYRICAL/CONTEMPORARY
Lyrical combines the technical elements of dance with deep personal feelings and emotions. It tells a story through fluid, smooth, and controlled movement. Emphasis is placed on alignment, strength and posture, as well as performance skills and expression. Contemporary involves elements of lyrical dance, but also fuses together other styles which may include jazz, hip hop, acro and modern.

MESSENGERS
Is an expressive way to give praise to God through dance. Students will learn basic ballet, and lyrical/contemporary moves incorporated into a routine to bring glory to our King. God has called us all to be His Messengers and to spread the Good News of the Gospel, Dance is just one of the ways we find to do that. (This class does participate in the recital. We always use appropriate music, moves, and costumes.)
